Fire Protection Service Corporation is hiring for Test and Inspect Technician in our Ogden Branch. 

Position Summary: 

Inspectors are responsible for conducting routine inspections, testing, service and preventative maintenance on electrical, sprinkler and/or suppression fire alarm systems. Inspectors will be working with low voltage wiring and associated devices for the operation of low voltage equipment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conducting service calls
  • System testing and inspecting to the prescribed standards.
  • Provide on-site emergency troubleshooting and repairs of customers fire protection and suppression equipment.
  • Preparing accurate and timely service tickets and reports.
  • Ensuring a high level of customer service, satisfaction and communication.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment on and off site.
  • Interface successfully with Administration, Sales, Customers and Management.
  • Ability to use a variety of hand tools.  
  • Has excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Dresses in appropriate attire.
  • Acts in a professional manner.

Education & Required Skills:

  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to work with small tools as assigned (i.e. screw driver, hammer, etc.)
  • Ability to install, inspect, or service fire alarm, fire suppression, and or fire sprinkler systems.
  • Basic computer knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).  
  • Exemplary customer service skills to deal with both internal and external customers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must read and speak English
  • Strong Time Management Skills
  • Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
  • Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable and well organized
  • Must have clean driving record and a valid Driver's License

Experience:

  • Prior experience in inspections, field service, and/or installation preferred but not required. 
  • NICET Certification is preferred but not required.
